Hello! Thank you for visiting the website of Jim Ringstad. I am an artist living in Suburbia (Chicago Area). My work explores natural landscapes, the built environment ,figuration, abstract elements and memory. I draw and paint from both observation and informed invention. Currently I am working in mixed media paintings which incorporate jute and cotton string as linear elements.
